A FURTHER new housing development has been proposed for Trumpethill in Gourock.

Luxury flats were recently built on land off Cowal View formerly owned by the golf club.

Now a firm is seeking permission for a self-build residential development of six homes on adjacent land.

Inverdunning want planning consent in principle for the houses, which would be built on land next to Rosemount Place.

An existing bungalow on the site with extensive garden grounds would be refurbished under the proposal lodged with the council.

The application documents say: “The property was put on the open market by Savills in the summer of 2019 as an open market sale.

“Inverdunning Ltd were successful in their bid, having considered the site an ideal opportunity to redevelop the existing house and grounds."

Council officials are currently considering the application.
