A CAMPAIGNING senior citizen who has became a celebrity after two appearances on television is continuing to receive fan mail.

Ivy Siegfried, who is willing to go to jail instead of paying to watch her TV after the BBC scrapped universal free licences for over 75s.

She appeared on This Morning and was asked back as she proved such a hit with viewers.

The latest letter was from supporter in Greater Manchester who told her to keep up the good work.

Ivy, 82, said: "The envelope said Ivy Siegfried, Greenock, Scotland, I think someone in the post office must have added 52 Dunlop Street.

"The person had counted all the repeats listed in the Daily mail Mail weekend book between 15th and 21st August.

"It showed there were 176 repeats for BBC 1 and BBC 2."

The letter writer SA Goldthorpe, said: "I hope this might help a little for you. Thanks for what you are doing."

Ivy said: "I have had emails from all over the world. It is quite overwhelming.
