INVERCLYDE residents raised fears over a landslide near a local railway line.
The slip happened on the hillside at Spango Valley, sending earth and mud down in the direction of the Wemyss bay to Glasgow line at IBM.
The Tele relayed fears to Network Rail but the train operator said they had checked the site and there was no cause for concern.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: "Our engineers have inspected the site.
"It is a significant distance from the railway and does not pose a risk to train services.
"We regularly inspect lineside slopes for signs of landslips and across Scotland we spend millions of pounds each year on measures to improve our earthworks."
