POLICE chiefs have urged people across Inverclyde who choose to go hillwalking to be mindful of coronavirus restrictions - and changing weather conditions.
The plea follows a spate of incidents across the country where people breached essential travel regulations, also leading to an increase in the number of mountain rescues as a result.
Assistant chief constable Alan Speirs, a former local chief superintendent, says that the best way to stay safe is to stay at home.
