THE family of a brave Greenock soldier who fought in World War 1 are to be reunited with his war medals.
The Tele reported how Anne Skirvin had found a 1914 Mons Star campaign medal and a silver war medal belonging to Private Alexander Mullen at her home in Wishaw.
Following an online appeal, one of Private Mullen's great granddaughters, Anne Cooke, who lives in England, got in touch with Anne.
The two Annes now hope to meet when coronavirus restrictions are lifted to allow the medals to be handed over to Alexander's family.
