A GREENOCK man on a night-time bail curfew has been locked up after police found him wandering the streets at 4am.

Christopher Hendry, 42, pleaded guilty through lawyer Aidan Gallagher to a total of three breaches of bail when he appeared from custody at the sheriff court.

He had also twice failed to turn up at Greenock police office as a condition of bail.

The court heard how Hendry, of Prospecthill Street, was caught in breach of his curfew in the early hours of last Friday morning.

Sentence has been deferred until February 23 for a background report and electronic tagging assessment.

Hendry has been remanded in custody meantime.
