ANOTHER 11 people in Inverclyde with coronavirus have died.
National Records of Scotland say that the deaths were registered between January 25-31.
A total of 34 people in the area passed away from all causes during the same seven-day period.
The new figures take the area's coronavirus deaths for the year so far up to 42.
During 2020, 132 local people who had Covid-19 passed away, meaning the pandemic has now claimed 174 lives here since it began.
Meanwhile latest data from Public Health Scotland puts the district's infection rate at 145 per 100,000 people for the week to January 30.
A total of 113 new Covid cases were reported over that weekly recording period.
The current infection rate average for Scotland is 133 per 100k people.
