PEOPLE in Inverclyde are being given the chance to have their say about which equality issues the council should focus on over the next four years.
The local authority’s current ‘equality outcomes’ expire this year and bosses are seeking local views on the priority areas they think should be addressed between now and 2025.
Individuals are being encouraged to share their views by taking part in an online survey, with their feedback used to map out a way forward.
Council leader Stephen McCabe said: “The equality outcomes could look at improving support for older people in the community, or taking action to prevent violence against women and girls in Inverclyde.
“Another topic that could be tackled is increasing the diversity of the council’s workforce.
“This is an opportunity for local residents to play an important role in shaping the equalities agenda at the council and make a real difference to the areas that we tackle during the next four years.
"By letting us know your thoughts on equality issues, you really can make a difference to the key areas that the council will examine between now and 2025.”
To take the survey visit www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MK8HWMR before the closing date of February 14.
