THE council has spent £130k on a support package for 3,000 older people to help them through winter.
Grants for keeping household energy bills down doubled from £75 to £150.
Cash was also spent on £15 Christmas meal vouchers to make up for the usual festive lunch events being called off due to the pandemic.
