CAR crime is declining in Inverclyde according to official statistics.
Police say that vehicle crime in the area plunged by around 20 per cent from April-November last year.
A total of 99 incidents were recorded over the eight months when compared with the same period in 2019.
The most commonly reported crime was thefts from insecure vehicles.
