A GREENOCK man has been charged with armed robbery at a convenience store on the town's Belville Street.
Andrew Mulholland, 28, is said to have presented a screwdriver at a worker at U-Save and robbed the man of £40.
Prosecutors say Mulholland later committed an attempted robbery at the New Best Cellar off licence on East Crawford Street.
Both alleged offences are said to have taken place in August 2019.
Mulholland, of Leven Road, has pleaded not guilty through lawyer David Tod at the sheriff court.
A sheriff and jury trial has been fixed for April.
