AN Inverclyde lifestyle coach is urging young girls to go for it and become leaders in their own lives.
Marion Morrison is running Rise Up - an online course for girls who need to build up their confidence.
The Zoom sessions will help girls aged eight to 17 tackle challenges in their life and rise above any worries they have.
Marion was inspired to set up the masterclasses after being contacted by parents who were concerned about the mental health of their youngsters during lockdown.
She said: "I've been getting three to four messages a day from parents worried about children who are really struggling.
"A few of them are on the waiting list for various places but nothing is happening for them.
"I just thought 'how can I help them?'.
"I believe that every girl should be a champion of her own life - and every champion needs a coach."
Marion will cover various areas during the sessions, including the importance of basics like getting fresh air, drinking lots of water and getting good quality sleep.
She will also talk about problem-solving, building confidence and getting rid of self-doubt and look at resolving conflict.
Councillor Lynne Quinn and TV presenter Jean Johansson are both championing Rise Up.
Marion says girls will benefit from the 'straightforward, gritty and graceful talk'.
She hopes that the three Zoom masterclasses - each one tailored to an age group - will evolve into a more in-depth programme.
Marion added: "Mindsets aren't going to change after just one session, this is just the starting point.
"It's just in its infancy and I can't wait to see what it looks like in a year."
The Zoom sessions will take place on February 20.
The masterclass for eight to 10-year-olds will run from 10am until noon, youngsters aged 10 to 12 can log on from 2-4pm, and teenagers aged up to 17 will hear from Marion from 6-8pm.
