A PORT councillor says he is pleased that his local town hall has become the area's second Covid vaccination centre.
Councillor Jim MacLeod says the opening of the second facility will make the jab more accessible for many.
Cllr MacLeod said: "I suggested the hall be used as a venue as it would be easier for Portonians and possibly residents from Kilmacolm, Quarrier's Village and the east end of Greenock to access.
"It is great to see so many people are being vaccinated here.
"Science is the way to beat this pandemic and I urge everyone to take up the vaccination when it is offered."
