THE number of coronavirus deaths being registered in Inverclyde is slowing down.
National Records of Scotland today announced that four deaths were sadly registered between February 1 and Sunday.
This is the lowest weekly figure of the year thus far.
Eleven deaths of people with Covid-19 had been registered in the previous seven day period.
The new registrations take the area's coronavirus deaths for the year so far up to 46.
During 2020, 132 local people who had Covid-19 passed away, meaning the pandemic has now claimed 178 lives here since it began.
