IT'S the final curtain for the historic Greenock Arts Guild as demolition of the building nears completion.
The bulldozing of the main theatre exposed the old stage which hosted thousands of shows for almost 70 years.
The Campbell Street site is being cleared a couple of months after two fires ripped through it in quick succession, leaving it condemned as unsafe by building control officers.
It had lain derelict since closing in 2012 and eventually became a target for anti-social activity.
Owners Peel Land said in November that they were in talks to sell the site to housebuilders.
