A GREENOCK man is set for trial at the sheriff court next month charged with struggling violently with police after allegedly being caught driving a car without insurance in the town centre.
Robert Temporal, 34, is said to have pulled two officers into the roadway on West Blackhall Street during the alleged incident on February 4 last year.
Prosecutors say he shouted, swore, and made offensive remarks before allegedly opening the door of an Audi A3 and striking a male PC with it, which is said to have caused the officer to fall backwards and hit his female colleague.
Temporal, of Lime Street, has had not guilty pleas maintained in his absence from the latest calling of the case by lawyer Aidan Gallagher.
