THE weekly number of Covid-19 cases in Inverclyde has fallen for the third week in a row.
Public Health Scotland figures show that there were 83 positive cases registered in Inverclyde in the week ending 7 February.
In the seven day period before, there were 115 people in the area with a positive test result.
This is a steady decline, with the week before the above having 136 positive cases registed.
Four 'neighbourhoods' suppressed the virus: Gourock Central, Upper East and IRH; Greenock West and Central; Bow Farm, Barrs Cottage, Cowdenknowes and Overton; and Kilmacolm, Quarriers, Greenock Upper East/Central.
The Gourock Central, Upper East and IRH and Kilmacolm, Quarrers, Greenock Upper East/Central neighbourhoods reported no new cases last week.
11 new cases were reported in the neighbourhood of Braeside, Branchton, Lower Larkfield and Ravenscraig - the highest in the area.
The seven day positive rate per 100,000 was 106.7 - considerably lower than the previous week's figure of 147.8.
No Covid-19 related deaths were registed between 1 and 7 February.
