POLICE carried out additional patrols across Port Glasgow at the weekend to discourage anti-social behaviour.
Extra officers were sent out to disperse any gatherings of youngsters found to be ignoring Scottish Government advice to stay at home.
A spokesperson said: "We stepped up patrols in the area due to reports of groups of young people continuing to gather and engage in anti-social behaviour.
"We would ask parents to help safeguard their children and other people by discouraging them from gathering in crowds."
