VOLUNTEERS from a lifeline service helping to combat isolation and loneliness have now made 20,000 calls during lockdown.
Your Voice have more than 40 volunteers who make phonecalls daily to the most vulnerable in Inverclyde to make sure they know they are not alone.
It is part of the work of the community connectors team set up by the community health and social care project.
With face-to-face visits prohibited during the pandemic, they have been adapting to new ways of working to make sure no-one slips through the net.
With new staff members Kevin Begley and Bethnan Dunsmore recently recruited, the organisation hope to expand services to reach even more people.
If anyone would like to sign up as a volunteer, contact 728628 or email enquiries@yourvoice.org.uk
