DIRTY flood water from the polluted Ravenscraig social housing site in Greenock forms a large an impassable pool for pedestrians.
In this video clip — filmed at the height of the problem — a woman carrying a shopping bag encounters the obstacle and is forced to turn back.
It is feared that chemicals from confirmed 'multiple exceedances' of pollutants in the ground may have leached from the site into public areas.
Inverclyde Council previously imposed a planning condition on developer Link Group Ltd that all surface water must be 'intercepted within the site'.
