A GREENOCK man has been charged with passing counterfeit £20 notes in the town's Cash Generator shop.
Alexander Coia, 45, is said to have tendered as genuine a pair of counterfeit 'Clydesdale Bank' notes in February last year.
Coia, of Westburn Buildings, has had a plea of not guilty maintained in his absence from the sheriff court by lawyer Aidan Gallagher.
A trial is due to take place next month.
