POLICE say they are 'extremely concerned' for the safety of a woman who has gone missing from Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
Claire Douglas, 40, vanished from IRH around 1pm today.
She is described as 5ft 7' in height, with long blonde hair and blue eyes.
When last seen she was wearing a black bubble style jacket, navy pyjamas with stars on them, a grey fleece cardigan and white trainers.
It is believed Claire was in the Lalleys shop on Gleninver Road nearby IRH about two o'clock this afternoon but her whereabouts are now unknown.
Sergeant Scott Clark, of Greenock Police, said: "We are extremely concerned for the safety and wellbeing of Claire and are looking to trace her as soon as possible."
Claire normally resides in the Largs area.
Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact the police by calling 101, quoting incident number 1541 of February 18.
