A community-minded musician has been recognised nationally for her efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lynette Beaton was recognised by the Scottish Women's Convention as part of their International Women's Day celebrations.
The singer and Boogie Bugs founder was nominated for the accolade by local Amazon community champion, Gillian Maxwell, after she raised over £10,000 for the community with her singing partner, Lauren O'Donoghue.
Lynette, who was 'really chuffed' to be recognised, has thanked Gillian for thinking on her.
The 30-year-old said: "I worked with Gillian throughout the lockdown as Amazon were helping us with our fundraising efforts, so I got to know her really well.
"I think it is so lovely she took out the time to do that for me, it is so kind.
"It's been amazing too reading the stories of the other women who have been recognised, it makes me really proud of how much good work happens here in Scotland."
