OVER 500 Morton fans have taken part in a poll about this summer's scheduled supporter takeover.
Investment group Morton Club Together launched the survey following months of negotiations with club owners Golden Casket, after an in-principle agreement was struck last year for a move to community ownership.
Two options have been tabled - one which sees Cappielow change hands but with a £2m debt attached, and another which sees that sum written off and the Rae family firm keeping the stadium and renting it out.
MCT, who have already pumped in over £100,000 into the club and have a 15 per cent shareholding, say that 426 of their members completed the survey.
They plan to progress negotiations with the Rae family and reach a point where there is a final deal on the table that they can put to pledgers.
A spokesperson said: "We received 511 responses in total.
"This has been an exceptional response and will prove extremely valuable in shaping the way forward.
"We will now look to review all of the data and pull together conclusions from it.
"Once we have analysed the consultation data, we will engage with our lawyers around the next steps."
