A MAN has been barred from Port Glasgow as a condition of his bail over an alleged knife offence.

Darren Corcoran, 33, is said to have been caught in possession of a blade within a close on Robert Street.

Corcoran is also accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, repeatedly striking the front door of a second floor flat, shouting and swearing and acting aggressively.

Prosecutors say the alleged offences occurred on February 10.

Corcoran, whose address wasn't given in court, appeared from custody to plead not guilty.

A further condition of his bail is not to approach or contact a named individual.
