Greenock Esplanade
A MAN is facing prosecution after being arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers on the Esplanade.
Patrols were sent to the area following reports of a 'man acting suspiciously' about 8pm on Saturday.
A report by police alleges that the man tried to run away before throwing punches at the officers.
He was arrested to appear at court at a later date.
