A CONSERVATIVE MSP from Greenock has written to NHS chiefs and health secretary Jeane Freeman over Covid-19 vaccination delays in Inverclyde.
List MSP Jamie Greene says he has been contacted by a number of 'clinically vulnerable' constituents who should have been called for their jab but are still waiting.
Mr Greene said: “Many Inverclyde residents are still getting in touch with me concerned by the fact that they have not yet received their vaccine invitation, despite their health condition putting them in one of the highest categories.
“I have asked for clarity as to the reasons for the delays, as it is vital that such individuals have not been put in the wrong group and, if they have, are vaccinated as soon as possible."
There have also been reports that many people are missing their scheduled appointments, with 60 people failing to turn up during a single day last week at the vaccination hub at Greenock Town Hall.
Mr Greene added: “If you have a scheduled appointment please attend it or rearrange if you are unable to go - the failure to do so can result in wasted vaccines which we all want to avoid."
