A NEW Covid test centre is set to open in Inverclyde for local people without symptoms.
The council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde have announced plans to open an asymptomatic test facility at the Gamble Halls in Gourock.
From Tuesday people who do not have symptoms will be able to go along for a test without making an appointment.
It means Inverclyde will now have three test centres, with appointment-only ones already established at Parklea and Crawfurdsburn Community Centre for patients who DO have symptoms.
