AN INVERCLYDE man accused of being a fugitive from justice since 2016 after being charged with alleged serious assault and knife offences has been locked up.
Brian Morrison, 34, appeared from custody at Greenock Sheriff Court for a private hearing and made no plea through lawyer David Tod to an allegation of failing to appear on the matters five years ago.
Morrison, of Wemyss Bay, has been fully committed for trial and remanded in custody on a charge of breaching the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act.
A date for his next court appearance is to be confirmed.
