THE Royal Navy's latest mine hunting vessel stopped off at Inverkip Marina before joining the rest of her fleet.
RNMB Hebe is the third and final craft in a new programme aimed at increasing the capabilities of the armed forces.
Officer-in-charge of Project Wilton, Lieutenant Commander Ross Balfour said: "RNMB Hebe is the final piece in the jigsaw of Project Wilton’s maritime capability."
The vessel was handed over to the Wilton team at Inverkip Marina before heading for Gareloch flanked by sister vessels RNMB Harrier and Hazard.
Named after the Greek goddess Hebe, the vessel is a 15-metre Vahana boat and will be part of a 'highly flexible and rapidly deployable autonomous system'.
