TENNIS aces are making a right racket in Inverclyde at the start of a six week summer camp.
Youngsters perfected their shots at Fort Matilda when the Tele visited, inspired by some Andy Murray magic at Wimbledon.
Stephanie Swan, head coach at Fort Matilda and Ardgowan and local tennis development officer, says the camp is busy.
Stephanie said: "It's good that Andy Murray is doing well - Wimbledon and the good weather also helps."
The programme will alternate between Fort Matilda and Ardgowan, with sessions to suit all age groups and ability levels.
There are three sessions a day - the morning one between 9am and noon caters for the five to 10 age band.
A class for nursery kids runs from noon until 12.45 and the afternoon slot of 12.30-3.30pm is for those between 11 and 17.
Stephanie said: "We still have some spaces but the nursery sessions are nearly all full.
"We introduce the nursery children to lots of activities - co-ordination and fun games."
Tennis like other sports has also been affected by lockdown and Stephanie, who has been in the role since 2018, says it is great to be back in action.
She said: "We were off for a while, from last February to the beginning of June, and then it was pretty restrictive and only one on one allowed."
"But I have been here for a while now so I feel I've built up a rapport with the kids.
"They're all really enjoying it."
