MORTON players swapped the Cappielow pitch for the green as they enjoyed a visit to a local bowling club.

The squad tried their hand at the sport during a day out to Lady Alice BC on Thursday.

A club spokesperson said: "We had the privilege today of welcoming the players and staff of as they swapped goals for bowls.

"It was a very enjoyable event with some excellent bowling on show and we wish the team all the best for the rest of the season, they are always welcome at our club."

Club member Ewan Boyle, who is Ton's former media officer, hailed star striker Gozie Ugwu saying he proved to be 'equally as much of a superstar on the green'.
