POLICE have tonight arrested a man over the fatal M8 crash which claimed the lives of three people this morning.
The accident happened just after 5am near Langbank.
Three males were pronounced dead at the scene, with five others surviving the horrific crash.
Now Police Scotland have announced that they have arrested a man in connection with the accident.
In a statement the force said: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences following a crash on the M8 at junction 31 westbound around 5.05am on Sunday, 19 September, 2021.
"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0860 of 19/09/21."
