A GREENOCK man has appeared in court charged with a blade attack to severe injury at a flat in the town centre.
Hugh O'Hagan, 55, is accused of repeatedly striking another man on the body with a knife or similar implement.
Prosecutors say the alleged serious assault occurred at an address on West Blackhall Street on Saturday.
O'Hagan, of Westburn Buildings, appeared from custody at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday afternoon.
He made no plea during a private hearing on petition.
The case has been continued for further examination and O'Hagan was allowed bail.
A date for his next court appearance on the matter is to be confirmed.
