A PORT Glasgow mum who has waited a year for vital repairs to be carried out at her home has finally had the work completed.
Ann Hughes, 56, of Angus Road, was terrified her living-room ceiling would cave in following a flood from the bathroom.
The Tele highlighted her plight and River Clyde Homes has now carried out the repairs.
Her brother-in-law Jim McKillop said: "We got a phone call and voicemail the day after the Telegraph contacted them to say work would start.
"There was a bit of rigmarole and we had to keep on top of them but the work is nearly all done."
Rose said: "There is no way River Clyde Homes would have done those repairs if we hadn't gone to the Tele.
"We can't thank the Telegraph enough."
