THE number of new coronavirus cases in Inverclyde continues to fall and the rate is now well beneath the Scottish average.
From October 1-7, a total of 191 individuals in the district tested positive for Covid-19.
The seven day infection rate per 100,000 people was 248, against the Scottish average of 308.
Only nine other areas in Scotland have a case rate lower than here.
