GREENOCK Boxing Club have issued an appeal for a new working delegate.
An official over the age of 18 is needed to represent the club at Western District Boxing Association meetings in Glasgow every month.
The role would also involve learning how to referee and judge boxing shows hosted by the club, with training provided through Boxing Scotland.
Coach Danny Lee said: "This would be an exciting opportunity to get involved in the sport.
"It's something that men and women can become involved in.
"Delegates who have become good referees and judges can work at tournaments and if they have the talent to reach the next level they can even work at the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.
"It is an exciting role and offers a lot of opportunities to represent the club."
Danny says a new delegate would allow the club to host events for the first time in nearly two years.
He said: "It would really help the club so we can begin to organise shows again.
"I had a show planned in March, but the pandemic kicked in and we had to cancel it.
"Other clubs are beginning to hold shows and we hope to be able to do the same soon."
For more information about the role, contact Danny on 07966653550.
The club, based on 1 Bawhirley Road, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
