Each Saturday, our photographer George Munro shares his highlights of the week.

Happy birthday!

Greenock Telegraph:

Pupils of St Andrew's Primary School gave a rousing cheer for the camera in celebration of their 10th birthday. It seems like only a short time ago when the school was created from an amalgamation of Sacred Heart and St Gabriel's primary schools, and we wish them all the best in their future learning.

Alice in Wonderland

Greenock Telegraph:

Actors Emily Ashton and Kieran Begley of Wee Storybox theatre group entertained youngsters at Moorfoot Primary School as part of Book Week Scotland. The couple staged an Alice in Wonderland themed workshop that proved a big hit with the young bookworms.

Give a Cheer!

Greenock Telegraph:

Tele reporter Amy Shearer and I visited competitive cheer team ICE Allstars when they celebrated their first full year in business. The group has a goal of introducing as many young people as possible to new opportunities. To find out more visit facebook.com/ ICECheer.

Happy Retirement!

Greenock Telegraph:

Greenock firefighters waved goodbye to a colleague who stepped down after 30 years of sterling service. Commander Sandy MacLean served most of his working time in Inverclyde and will be missed by many. Sandy is looking forward to spending time with his grandchildren and playing an occasional game of golf too!
