MORE than 500 lifesaving kits to prevent drug deaths are now on the streets in Inverclyde.
Inverclyde Health & Social Care Partnership have stepped up their Naloxone provision programme in a bid to reduce drug deaths locally.
By March next year a total of six 'third sector' organisations - Richmond Fellowship Scotland, The Salvation Army, Inverclyde Association of Mental Health, Inverclyde Faith in Throughcare, Your Voice and Jericho House will all be distributing overdose reversal packs.
A link worker has also been put in place by the HSCP, with peer mentors and training being offered to the organisations.
