MORTON boss Dougie Imrie is plotting transfer window moves after confirming that loan midfielder Jaakko Oksanen is leaving Cappielow.
The Finn will return to his parent club Brentford on Monday and has been linked with a possible move to English League Two side Forest Green Rovers.
Whilst disappointed at his exit, Imrie hopes that it will now help him put his own stamp on the squad.
He has put a goalkeeper on top of his list to deputise for Jack Hamilton.
Imrie said: “Jaakko will be going back to Brentford.
"He’s a good kid but he’s wanting to explore other avenues.
“He’ll be going back down to London on Monday and it’s a sore one, but it’s his intentions at the end of the day.
“To flip that into a positive, I'm hoping that that frees up some funds for me to bring in some of my own faces.
“It’s going to be a manic January window for everyone.
"We need to be careful not to rush into things too early in order to make sure that we pick the right people.
“I’m still trying to assess the squad, obviously a goalkeeper is the primary concern with Jack being the only senior 'keeper at the club.
"But we’ll be looking to assess the other areas and seeing what we can do in the weeks to come.”
