BBC bosses have paid tribute to Greenock director Bill Bryden following his death.
Mr Bryden passed away last week at the age of 79.
Steve Carson, director of BBC Scotland, hailed the playwright.
He said: “We’re truly saddened to hear the news about Bill Bryden, a pioneering head of drama here at BBC Scotland.
"His contribution to Scottish culture can’t be understated, not least with dramas he produced like Tutti Frutti.
"We send our deepest condolences to all his family.”
