A RAILWAY bridge in Gourock is to be fitted with new parapets after Inverclyde Council planners gave the move the go-ahead.
The bridge on Manor Crescent, which sits over the line between Gourock and Fort Matilda, will have new parapets installed on its west side.
The new guard will be taller than the existing one, with anti-climb measures in place to prevent pedestrians from getting onto the railway below.
A new pedestrian surface will also be laid.
