FERGUSON Marine was visited by politician turned TV presenter Michael Portillo for a BBC show.
The latest episode of his Great Coastal Railway Journeys series sees the broadcaster look at progress on the two CalMac ferries, as part of a feature on their role connecting Scotland's islands with the mainland.
Portillo is filmed helping to hoist a six-and-a-half tonne unit onto the upper deck of one of the vessels under construction.
The presenter also visits the iconic Wemyss Bay Station during the episode, on BBC Two at 6.30pm on Monday.
