INVERCLYDE will be battered by strong winds when Storm Dudley hits the area later this week - with the Met Office warning that 'danger to life' is likely.
The Met Office have issued an amber weather warning for wind that starts on Wednesday at 6pm and lasts until Thursday at 9am.
The weather service are warning that the storm will bring a period of very strong and disruptive winds, with some roads and bridges likely to close.
There is a good chance that power cuts may occur and road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected.
