GOUROCK Post Office looks set to get a new postmaster to run the service.
This follows a catalogue of complaints about the branch in Kempock Street.
Councillor Lynne Quinn and members of the public were unhappy at the way it was being operated, following a series of unexpected closures.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “Gourock Post Office is run by a temporary operator.
"We are looking for a permanent solution.
"The vacancy has been advertised and we have two interested parties that we are in discussion with.
"Talks are at an early stage.”
