CLIMATE change activists in Inverclyde have pledged to step up their fight to improve the local community.
The Literati Guide to Inverclyde, who have organised litter picks in local beauty spots across the region, are urging people to reduce, reuse and recycle waste in the year ahead.
They also want to work closer with young people to encourage teens to think about their surrounding.
Organiser Vicky Cookson said: "I think what we have now is a real momentum in Inverclyde. People are more aware of what we are facing and are able to see that we can make a real difference."
The Literati leader is now leading the task force to address the fresh goals.
Eradicating discarded plastic is one of the main priorities that came out of a local summit involving conservationists, politicians, businesses and schoolchildren at the Beacon in the countdown to COP 26 last year.
Vicky added: "It is soul destroying to see the impact it has on our waters and our wildlife.
"More and more people are starting to come on board now."
