A CONVICTED Greenock sex offender failed to adhere to strict notification requirements for ten months before the offence was discovered as part of an annual check-up by police.
Scott Parr had been issued with a new bank card but didn't tell authorities about it and used it between November 2019 and August 2020 without passing on its identification number.
Greenock Sheriff Court heard that it was the second time that the 26-year-old had committed the offence.
Under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 offenders must notify police of a change of bank cards within three days.
Parr's lawyer, Ellen Macdonald, said: "It appears to have been a genuine oversight on his part."
Sheriff Sheena Fraser has deferred sentence until March 25 for Parr, who lives in the east end, to appear in person.
