OVER 1,000 local people have tested positive for coronavirus in a week.
There were 1,128 new cases in the seven days to March 27, say Public Health Scotland.
This means the area's infection rate per 100,000 people stands at 1,463 - just above the national average of 1,311 per 100k.
Only seven other areas in Scotland have a higher rate than Inverclyde.
