A PAIR of young football stars represented the area in the district squad who took home the top title.
Footballers Nathan Mullan and Ross Docherty played in the Scottish District Cup with the Paisley and District Schools team.
The 15-year-old Notre Dame High pupils, who have been playing the sport for years, say they were part of the first team in years from this area to take home the trophy.
Nathan, who plays for Morton in the Community, said: "It was an unreal experience from start to finish, we're really delighted.
"Getting to represent the area meant a lot to us both."
Port Glasgow Juniors player Ross added: "We had to try out for the team and were chuffed to be picked.
"It was incredible to win the League, something we will never forget."
