LINE of Duty star Martin Compston has floated the idea of arranging a music festival in his Greenock home town.
The Ardgowan Hospice patron has revealed he would 'love' to bring big bands to Battery Park for an event in aid of the charity.
He said: “I am a very proud Greenock boy and I would love to see big bands there.
“That to me would be something special.
"I am putting it out there because I do feel if you say something and it becomes public, you kind of need to then follow through.
“My idea is I want to see big bands in Greenock as well as raise money for the hospice.”
Martin has held a string of successful benefit events for the charity over the years, with the latest a sell-out Line of Duty cast reunion at Port Glasgow Town Hall.
